REM’s Vented Engine Cover is hand-crafted by skilled composite artisans in the USA and is made from 100% carbon fiber and high-quality epoxy resins. The Vented Engine Cover is available in either a base (as molded) or automotive clear coat finish.
The lightweight, stiff composite cover is a direct drop-in replacement to the FFR supplied glass panel for the 818C’s rear engine cover (Note: this product does not replace the fiberglass engine cover hatch supplied by FFR). This allows the product to be installed during the build process or as a performance upgrade for completed vehicles. The Vented Engine Cover is designed to reduce engine bay temperatures by allowing for improved air exchange within the engine bay and does so without cutting large holes in the rear body panels. The louvers are specifically oriented to preserve rear view visibility while also helping to shed water from the engine bay. The engine cover easily mounts to FFR engine hatch using your choice of glass mounting sealants. The Vented Engine Cover can be modified to include center brake light, rearview camera, etc. to meet the needs of your specific application.
