REALITY

Rapid Eye Motorsports, LLC (REM) was established to support a lifelong passion of turning ideas in reality. We design and deliver high-quality aftermarket parts for automotive and motorsports enthusiasts; and like you are we focused on making things lighter, faster, and stronger. We specialize in the fabrication of carbon fiber composite parts for high-performance automobiles, namely Factory Five Racing’s 818 S, C, and R models. We are here to help you build your dream car, one piece at a time.

REM is based out of Ohio and we manufacture all of our products using a great network of US suppliers and vendors. This reliable partner network ensures you get a quality product every time you buy from us. Careful planning (i.e. measure twice and cut once) and attention to detail are critical attributes needed for the production of high-quality composite parts. In composite production there is no room for quick fixes or doing things half-way. REM employs a team of highly skilled design engineers, composite fabricators, and automotive technicians to manufacture our products. We confidently stand behind our work.

"We are here to help you build your dream car, one piece at a time."

Jason Rice - Founder of Rapid Eye Motorsports

As the founder of REM, my love for building things, especially cars, began at an early age. Like many of you I grew up playing with Hot Wheels, Legos, Erector Sets, Tinker Toys, etc. which satisfied my desire for creativity. Eventually I would go on to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering and secure a job at a research company, where I am fortunate enough to be constantly pushing the boundaries of technology. Needles to say, I have made a career out of making improvements and this habit followed me to my own Factory Five 818C. I purchased my kit in 2018 after I attended the Factory Five Build School at Mott College. I personally consider the 818’s Assembly Manual more of a suggestion and less of a rule book for how things should be done, which means unfortunately I am still in the building process and not out on the race track…yet.

As a Design Engineer and Project Manager, I understand most of the compromises automotive manufacturers make when releasing a product. At REM we pride ourselves on identifying product opportunities offering maximum value (benefit vs. cost) to the customer and look forward to addressing your needs! If you do not see something you want please feel free to submit your product request.
